Peru welcome Chile to Lima's Monumental Stadium and Del Solar said: "They are a dangerous opponent, but as Peruvians we have pride and honour to play for in this match and must do things right to win.

"We are in Lima and we hope to clinch a win which will revitalise our fans and give us hope for the rest of the competition."

Chile have fared much better than tomorrow's opponents and sit fourth in the table, just one point behind second-placed Brazil.

But coach Marcelo Bielsa insists form will count for nothing when they take on a Peru side desperate for their second victory.

"If you look at the results between teams at the top and those towards the bottom, you will find a lot of surprises," he said.
