Watch Premier League game between Fulham vs Sunderland Live Streaming at Craven Cottage on Sunday Dec 6 2009, kick-off 15.00 GMT.

Fulham have also got a number of their key men firing on all cylinders, with their attacking talents providing a sharp cutting edge.

Indeed defeat to Fulham on Sunday will see the Whites leapfrog Sunderland in the Premier League table, a move that will do little to impress Bruce who has seen his side beat Arsenal and Liverpool at the Stadium of Light lose yet lose away to Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City, Burnley and Stoke City.

Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon remains on the sidelines with a broken arm and former Wigan Athletic midfielder Lee Cattermole, who suffered a serious knee injury against Liverpool in October, could return towards the end of January at the very earliest.

Birmingham have seemingly got to grips with the Premier League quicker than their local rivals. The Blues are currently five points better off than Wolves in the table and sit pretty in 13th while Mick McCarthy's men struggle in 19th.

Birmingham have also picked up a bit of form going into the clash having gone four games unbeaten including wins over Sunderland and Fulham and a credible draw at home to Manchester City.

Wolves on the other hand go into the game on the back of two heavy defeats, albeit against Arsenal and Chelsea, and McCarthy will be looking for a response at the weekend.

At times Wolves' results this season have not been a fair reflection on their performances with a number of big decisions not going their way.

The game itself should be an intriguing contest with Wolves winning only once in six games at Molineux this term while Birmingham boast an equally poor away record having won just once in their six matches on their travels.

Watch Aston Villa vs Tottenham Live Streaming. Leading Tottenham and Premier League goal scorer Jermaine Defoe is looking to be a dominant force up front and continue his form of last week. Netting five goals against hapless Wigan brought his season's tally to 11 altogether.

At the other end of the pitch, the Spurs back four looked solid and this weekend will be looking to shut out Villa's top scorer Gabriel Agbonlahor, as they seek to widen the gap between fourth and fifth place.

Aaron Lennon is expected to take his place in the starting eleven for this Aston Villa vs Tottenham meeting, after his incredble performance last weekend, in which he tallied three assists and one goal for himself.

Martin O'Neill's men will be heading into this Aston Villa v Spurs battle, keen on improving on their 1-1 draw with Burnley last weekend.

Substitute Emile Heskey ended his goal drought by scoring in the 86th minute—his first goal since April—to rescue Villa and secure a point at Turf Moor.

Having finished the last two seasons in sixth position, Aston Villa have built up their squad and now have a team boasting both experience and ability. They now believe they can break into the top four.

Manager O’Neill will be willing his team on for a victory in this Aston Villa v Spurs match, which would put them on level points with fourth placed Tottenham were they to win.

Watch Wigan Athletic vs Sunderland Live Streaming this saturday. Sunderland will take on the hosts Wigan Athletic on 28th November in the English Premier League.

The Wigan’s had a miserable loss against the Tottenham Hotspurs in the previous match, which they lost with Hotspurs notching nine goals as against a single goal made by the Wigans.

This defeat must have wounded the Wigans quite badly and it will be a huge pressure to come out of that defeat. So far the Wigans have played thirteen games out of which they have won four, lost seven and the rest of the matches were drawn.

They have only one option now, they need to come out of that shameful defeat and play the Saturday’s match with positive frame of mind to make something out of it.

On the other hand, Sunderland has played 13 matches out of which they have won six, lost five and two were drawn. They played against Arsenal in their last match and won the game with a lead of 1-0.

West Ham United vs Burnley Live Streaming. Burnley will be hoping to secure a first win at Upton Park in over 30 years and will be encouraged by the news that West Ham captain Matthew Upson will be unavailable after suffering a hamstring strain in training. Danny Gabbidon is now fully fit after an abdominal injury and should step into the gap for Gianfranco Zola's side, who have won only one league match since the opening day of this season. Burnley manager Owen Coyle has no new fitness concerns and is likely to stick with the same side that drew with Aston Villa last week. Richard Flower

Portsmouth vs Manchester United Live Streaming Online. Asmir Begovic is set to replace injured England goalkeeper David James for Avram Grant's first game in charge of bottom club Portsmouth - at home to champions Manchester United at Fratton Park.
Grant, still officially Pompey's director of football until paperwork arrives enabling him to be installed as successor to sacked manager Paul Hart, could stick with Jamie Ashdown but highly-rated Bosnian international Begovic was recalled from a loan spell at Ipswich earlier this week.

Veteran defender Hermann Hreidarsson is likely to keep his place after coming back from injury in the 1-0 defeat at Stoke but Grant may recall French loanee Frederic Piquionne in place of Kanu, who made his first Barclays Premier League start of the season last week.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Ben Haim, Kaboul, Wilson, Hreidarsson, Brown, Yebda, O'Hara, Boateng, Dindane, Piquionne, Kanu, Swift, Hughes, Van den Borre, Mokoena, Belhadj, Mullins, Ashdown.

Watch Manchester City vs Hull City Live Streaming online. Manchester City Vs Hull City, City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England, Saturday, 28th November, 2009, 15:00GMT. Hull City were sitting 6th in the Premiership still riding high on the adrenaline of their first season in the top flight. The Blues were at the opposite end of the table sitting third from the bottom of the table.

This season the roles are reversed with the Tigers sitting just above the relegation places in 15th and Manchester City in 6th place.

Despite Manchester City's all star team they have been without a win in the Premiership in seven games when they beat West Ham 3-1 at Eastlands. What will be most worrying for Manchester City boss Mark Hughes will be the amount of goals conceded in that period. In those seven games they have leaked nine goals and only Liverpool and Aston Villa were opponents that Mark Hughes would expect to be difficult games. The rest been Fulham, Burnley, Wigan and Birmingham, all teams that Hughes would be expecting to gain three points against.

Phil Brown's Tigers are going through a purple patch at the moment gaining seven points from their last three games, all at home in the KC Stadium. What will be a doubt for Brown and the Hull City management is the clubs in effectiveness on their travels. The Tigers have only picked up one point from a possible 18 points.

The last time the two teams played at the City of Manchester Stadium the infamous half time team talk was the major talking point from the game. However, despite the drama that the press made out of the incident the performance of the Tigers on that day was shockingly poor and the team deserved much worse than the 5-1 drubbing.

Fulham vs Bolton Live Streaming

Watch Fulham vs Bolton Live Streaming Online.Fulham have registered three wins in their past six matches, and Roy Hodgson will be hoping to secure a 4th straight home-win against a Trotters side who have lost their past three league fixtures.

Fulham are still waiting for midfielder Danny Murphy and striker Andrew Johnson to return to full-fitness, with the two players unlikely to start against Gary Megson’s side, while fellow striker Diomansy Kamara is still out with a long-term knee injury.

For Bolton, whose last win was a hard-fought 3-2 win over Everton in late October, will be looking forward to the return of midfielder Tamir Cohen, who missed the 2-0 loss to Blacburn Rovers with a groin injury.

Fulham (team to be chosen from): Schwarzer, Zuberbuhler, Konchesky, Pantsil, Hangeland, Baird, Smalling, Kelly, Hughes, Etuhu, Murphy, Dempsey, Gera, Riise, Greening, Duff, Davies, Eddie Johnson, Nevland, Seol, Zamora, Andrew Johnson.

Bolton Wanderers (team to be chosen from): Jaaskelainen, Al-Habsi, Ricketts, Steinsson, Knight, Cahill, Andy O'Brien, Samuel, Robinson, Mark Davies, Basham, Muamba, Cohen, McCann, Gardner, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Klasnic, Lee, Elmander.

Watch Blackburn vs Stoke City Live Streaming. Blackburn Rovers are after a 3:0 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage at the weekend. In spite of the setback, they remained in the middle of the table, in 12th place to be exact. Meanwhile, Stoke City bounced back from their 2:1 loss to Hull City when they beat Portsmouth 1:0 on Sunday. Stoke climbed back into the top ten on the heels of that win and they are fastidiously looking to remain there.Blackburn Rovers have done well enough so far this season. While they have been hard done by against bigger clubs they have capitalized against weaker opposition, lower-ranked clubs in the EPL table

Match Time: 10:00 AM Eastern Time Saturday November 28, 2009
Venue: Ewood Park

Stoke City continue to appear in the top ten in spite of being less than remarkable and lacking in star power. Their results are a testament to a team ethos built on hard work and team work.
In their last six matches, they are 3-2-1. In their last away matches, they are 1-3-2. After losing 4:0 to Liverpool, they bounced back with a four-match undefeated run which included three consecutive draws against Birmingham, Bolton and Everton and a most impressive win over Tottenham.

Watch Stoke City vs Portsmouth Live Streaming online for free. Stoke City are looking good being at 9th place in the Premiership. I can't say the same about Pompey which are lying bottom of the Premier League. These two have met already this season in a League Cup match at Portsmouth in which Pompey won 4:0, but Stoke City were there with all fringe players having being given a chance to prove themselves, while Pompey played with the best they've got in that particular match and won quite convincingly.

Team News :

Stoke City - Abdoulaye Faye is suspended after being suspended against Hull City. Glen Whelan is doubtfull having a groin strain, while Diao, Amdy Faye and Mamady Sidibe are out of this match injured.

Portsmouth - Doubtfull for this match are Dindane, Finnan, Utaka, Ward and Yebda with different injuries, while Herman Hreidarsson returns after an injury and could feature in this match. Bouba Diop and Primus however remain sidelined injured.

I fancy Stoke here to take the 3 points, i think that at Britannia Stadium Stoke will be too good for Pompey, which have some financial problems and could affect them throughout the game so in my opinion this one will be a home win for Stoke City. I think that at halftime this one will be a 1:0 win for the home team.

Centre back Sebastien Bassong is back in contention after shaking off a hamstring injury.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is boosted by the return of Luka Modric (broken leg) although the Croatian is not yet match fit.

Teams:

Tottenham (from): Gomes, Alnwick, Hutton, Corluka, Bale, Assou-Ekotto, Bassong, Woodgate, Dawson, Lennon, Kranjcar, Palacios, Jenas, Huddlestone, Bentley, Keane, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Crouch.

Watch Bolton vs Blackburn Live Streaming online video. Israel international Tamir Cohn is a major doubt for Bolton boss Gary Megson as he has not recovered from the groin injury that forced him from the field early on against Aston Villa.

His absence could pave the way for Johan Elmander to reclaim a starting spot alongside skipper Kevin Davies up front, as Wanderers go in search of their first home victory over Rovers in nine years.

Elmander had featured in Sweden's 1-0 defeat in Italy, while Chung-Yong Lee played for South Korea in a 1-0 reverse against Serbia at Fulham's Craven Cottage.

Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Knight, Cahill, Robinson, Muamba, Davies, Taylor, Gardner, Davies, Elmander.

Blackburn: Robinson, Chimbonda, Nelsen, Samba, Givet, Emerton, Dunn, Andrews, Diouf, McCarthy, Roberts.

Watch Sunderland vs Arsenal Live streaming online for free. The Russian sealed his transfer to Emirates Stadium from Zenit St Petersburg last month following a hugely protracted saga.

Arshavin has been working on his fitness in training, as he has not played competitively since November, and is now deemed ready to make his bow.

High on fifth-placed Arsenal's agenda is breaking back into the top four, and Wenger may see this weekend as an opportunity to make ground on Aston Villa and Chelsea, who play one another on Saturday.

The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 11 league games, but drawing, rather than winning, has become a habit of late, although boss Arsene Wenger will be hopeful Arshavin's guile could provide the missing link.

Possible starting XIs

Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Arshavin, Denilson, Song, Nasri, Van Persie, Bendtner.

Sunderland : Fulop, McCartney, Ben Haim, Ferdinand, Collins, Reid, Whitehead, Richardson, Malbranque, Cisse, Jones.

Watch Manchester United vs Everton Live Streaming online for free.

Manchester United are the most successful Premier League club having won the title 10 times. It all began in 1993 when manager Sir Alex Ferguson ended a 26-year wait to lift the Premier League crown.

The signing of Eric Cantona for £1.2m from Leeds United proved a masterstroke as the Frenchman was instrumental in the title victory, along with the likes of Gary Pallister, Denis Irwin, Ryan Giggs and Paul Ince.

Everton have maintained their place in the Premier League since its inception in 1992. The Toffees claimed a famous 1-0 win over Manchester United in the 1995 FA Cup final courtesy of a goal from Paul Rideout. Everton have often been overshadowed by their Merseyside rivals Liverpool but they have a glorious history of their own.

A fourth place finish under manager David Moyes in the 2004/05 campaign, coupled with sixth and fifth place finishes respectively in the 2006/07 and 07/08 seasons, have cemented the club's status in the upper echelons of English football. Another fifth-placed finish came in 2008/09 along with an FA Cup final appearance

Watch Chelsea vs Wolverhampton (Wolves) Live Streaming online for free.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will ply their trade in the Premier League for the second time in the 2009/10 season, after winning the Championship title under manager Mick McCarthy.

Their return to the top-flight was confirmed after top goalscorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake netted the only goal of the match at home to Queens Park Rangers on 18th April 2009. A week later their status as league winners was decided with a 1-1 draw against Barnsley.

Chelsea will be desperate to regain the Premier League crown after finishing second to Manchester United in the last two seasons. Former manager Jose Mourinho, bankrolled by owner Roman Abromovich's millions, brought the first title to Stamford Bridge for 50 years when the Blues lifted the trophy in 2005. Chelsea became only the second team to win back-to-back Premier League titles when they clinched it a year later. Mourinho left the club by mutual consent in September 2007.

Watch Liverpool vs Manchester City Live Streaming Online video for free. Liverpool emerged as winners in the corresponding tie earlier in the season thanks in large to a Fernando Torres double, and the hopes of The Kop will surely rest on the shoulders of the Spaniard once again.

City on the other hand have only picked up just one away win all season, and come into the game off the back of a disappointing defeat by Portsmouth last week. However, a win against Liverpool would provide a timely boost to the club's hopes of a top-half finish, and a welcome relief for under-pressure boss Mark Hughes.

Possible starting XIs

Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Aurelio, Benayoun, Mascherano, Lucas, Riera, Kuyt, Torres.

Man City: Given, Onuoha, Richards, Dunne, Bridge, Zabaleta, De Jong, Ireland, Elano, Robinho, Bellamy.

McLeish is likely to have targets in mind come January, but he will have to make do with what he has at his disposal on Sunday and the visit of City will be a real test.

Blues' record against City is not great, as they have lost four of their last five Premier League meetings.

Keeper Maik Taylor will make his first league start of the season, as Joe Hart is ineligible due to the terms of his loan deal.

Gregory Vignal is back in the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury, but Keith Facey is doubtful with an ankle problem.Millions have been ploughed into City and Mark Hughes's summer signings are looking astute purchases.

Alex McLeish may not have the same spending power as Hughes, but the Carson Yeung takeover has raised the bar at St Andrews.

Midfielder Darren Fletcher might also feature if he recovers from a groin injury that ruled him out of the defeat at Liverpool yesterday. Senior professionals like Michael Owen, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Wes Brown are all set to be involved against the Coca-Cola Championship side, managed by former Old Trafford striker Mark Robins. Team (from): Kuszczak, Foster, De Laet, Neville, Brown, J Evans, Dudgeon, Fabio, Rafael, Tosic, Gibson, C Evans, Eikrem, Carrick, Fletcher, Scholes, Valencia, Nani, Owen, Welbeck, Macheda, King.

Liverpool are hopeful Fernando Torres will return from a thigh injury after missing their last two matches. Glen Johnson is fit again after a groin problem, but Steven Gerrard is still struggling to recover from one of his own. Albert Riera (hamstring) is also a doubt, while Alberto Aquilani will not be rushed into a debut despite running out for the reserves earlier in the week.

Wayne Rooney is a major doubt for United's trip to Anfield as he struggles to recover from a calf injury that has ruled him out for club and country over the past 10 days. Darren Fletcher (foot) is also a doubt, while Park Ji-sung will definitely not feature. The good news for Alex Ferguson is that Patrice Evra and Ryan Giggs are both fit after they did not travel to Moscow in midweek.Robinho will be out for at least another two weeks with a stress fracture in his ankle, but Craig Bellamy trained this week. Kolo Toure should be fit to resume his duties in defence, while Vincent Kompany could also make the squad. Defender Pablo Zabaleta is suspended for his red card last week.

Fulham rested several players for their Europa League match against Roma, but they remain without Danny Murphy (knee), Simon Davies (ankle), Dickson Etuhu (knee) and Andy Johnson (shoulder). Kagisho Dikgacoi serves the second match of his ban.

The Brazil international has been sidelined since August with a stress fracture, and had targeted returning to the first-team picture in next Wednesday's Carling Cup tie with Scunthorpe.

However, City boss Mark Hughes revealed that the British record signing from Real Madrid is not yet ready to play.Manchester City forward Robinho is set to miss another two weeks of action after suffering a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

Hughes said: "Robi is not ready to come back into the group yet, but he is not far off. It is unlikely he will be fit to play against Scunthorpe.

"The best we can hope for is that if he gets back into training he could possibly be on the bench, but even then it's a little bit too soon."

Barcelona had reportedly been lining up a move for Robinho, but the European champions' sporting director Txiki Begiristain insists that their interest has cooled since they were warned off the player in the summer.

Liverpool have had some great strikers come and go - Robbie Keane is scoring goals at Tottenham, Peter Crouch is scoring now. It didn't happen at Liverpool: it must be about how the manager relates to players, how the tactics are and how he restricts players. The coach plays a big part when you arrive at a new team. If he restricts you, it's going to make you play differently."

Chelsea fans will remember when Ray Wilkins was a regular sight at club press conferences during the glory days of Luiz Felipe Scolari. The Independent reveals that Butch will be fielding the questions at Cobham today as manager Carlo Ancelotti has returned to Italy to visit his sick father, though he is expected to be back in time for the visit of Blackburn tomorrow.

Back to matters that really are our business, and the Blues are planning a big spending spree in January, assuming their appeal for FIFA to suspend their transfer ban for the next window is successful. Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Salomon Kalou and Jon Obi Mikel will all be away on African Nations Cup duty at the start of next year.

Jermaine Beckford has already bagged eight goals for Leeds this season to add to the whopping 26 he scored in the league last term. He's been on the radar of plenty of clubs for a while, but even he wouldn't have expected to hear of interest from Portuguese side Sporting Braga.

The Portuguese giants hit five without reply on Thursday, as Benfica put a makeshift Everton side to the sword.Moyes was forced to shuffle his deck and square pegs clearly did not fit into round holes. The Scot believes Everton are still well placed to progress and feels it would be folly to overreact.

"I have said to the players that this is a different competition and we have had two wins and a defeat so it's not that bad," said Moyes. It wasn't a second string defence, it was playing out of their position. We put out the best we had and the players did as well as they could. I only have praise for the players tonight."

Everton face Bolton at the weekend and they may be without Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.I'm not sure (if anyone will be back) and we also picked up an injury to Diniyar Bilyaletdinov as well so we will need to assess him," he revealed.I would like to play Benfica with my best team because they are a good team.

Chelsea v Atletico Madrid

Wednesday 21 October 2009, Stamford Bridge

UEFA Champions League Football

Kick-Off: 19:45

Chelsea

Chelsea welcome Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday hoping for a quick response to Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.

Carlo Ancelotti will be furious with the way his team have defended set pieces recently, as two headed goals from corners were enough to give Aston Villa a somewhat underserved victory over Chelsea.

Chelsea have now lost two consecutive away matches in the Premiership, but are still sitting snug and comfy in the Champions League after two matches played.

Ancelotti’s men have done the bare minimum to get by against Apoel Nicosia and Porto as two 1-0 victories have Chelsea on six points with a chance to extend their lead in tonight's Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid match.

Didier Drogba, who had given Chelsea the lead against Aston Villa before the collapse, has now recorded seven goals in the Premier League this season, but will miss this match as he serves to last of his three-match suspension.

Nicolas Anelka has scored both Champions League goals for the Blues.

Atletico Madrid

Abel Resino will lead Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge for this Chelsea v Atletico Madrid fixture knowing this his side are in real need of not only a victory, but a morale boost, as well.

Midway through October, Atletico Madrid, who have been tipped for success yet again this season, have only won one match in all competitions. That match? A less-than-impressive 2-1 home victory over La Liga newcomers Real Zaragoza.

Atletico Madrid have struggled to find the net this season, but have also struggled to keep opposing teams out, conceding two or more goals in six matches already this season.

Injuries have plagued Atletico in the early stage of the season, but the recent return of Sergio Asenjo, Juan Valera and Ignacio Camacho will give Resino a few more options for Chelsea - Atletico Madrid. However, Mariano Pernia is still struggling after injuries received in a car accident this sumer.

Real Madrid vs AC Milan Live Streaming Online, Sopcast, UEFA Champions League.
AC Milan arrived this noon and are staying at the Villa Magna hotel. They will hold a press conference at 18:30 and then start training for the game. There was also a bunch of AC Milan fans around the Santiago Bernabeu metro area. I could recognize them because they were speaking in Italian, carrying tons of bags and were talking about Kaka.

Anyway, this is obviously the game of the week. Not just because of the players who play for both clubs but for the history behind those two European giants. Both combined, they have won 16 Champions League cups. Now where is Barcelona? This is greatness.

We have Kaka, they have Huntelaar. I'm also going to count Seedorf. So this match sees the return of Klaas and Seedorf to the Bernabeu and is Kaka's first game against his former team.

Milan's vice president had to say this:

"I think seeing Kaka play with a shirt different from ours will be very moving, but that's football for you. It will be tough"

I know how that feels, but this is football. It was the right move for all parties. We are proud to have Kaka on the team, not just because he is a great player, but a great person too. You can find weird stories on Ronaldo and Ramos, but never on Kaka.

The good news this morning is that Lass is fine and has been included in the squad list. Whether he will play or not that is still unknown. Arbeloa is also fit to play, wherease Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Metzelder and Gago are still out for injury.

There is some talk on Benzema at the moment. It is his turn to be criticized after Higuain and Raul started playing well. It works this way in Spain. You slip up, you get under the spotlight. Nevertheless, Pellegrini sees nothing wrong with Benzema and his performances

"Benzema is a young and quality player. He has adapted to the squad perfectly. Every footballer has better or worse moments."

I agree with him. All players have these down periods, but the fact that Benzema is young and is a consistent-kind-of-player (unlike Guti!) it won't be long until he returns to scoring. He has 3 goals from 7 games which isn't very bad.

As I always say, matches like these are not analyzed by recent statistics of both teams. Sure, they count, but these are usually different games with different atmosphere -- think of it like a battle. I would go on to say this is probably EL Clasico of Europe.

On paper, Real is the better side. 29 goals in 9 games with three goals per game on average. The team is topping its Champions League group and is second with 1 point behind Barcelona in the league.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are still finding it difficult to regain their form, and are 7 points off first place in the Serie A. Since the Juventus scandal that also affected them, they have been struggling domestically as well as in Europe.

Looking at their squad list though, they have pretty popular names. From Ronaldinho to Pato, to Huntelaar and Inzaghi. Here is what Pellegrini said about them:

"Milan have very experienced players and the team played well in the second half of their match against Roma. Milan can be dangerous if they find room in which to attack. They are a difficult opponent."

Personally speaking, I think what sets Milan apart is their experience in the Champions League. The second thing is they have two players who can change the path of the game anytime they want -- Inazghi and Ronaldinho. Don't laugh, because you would be stupid.

Ronaldinho isn't the one whom the fans gave him a standing ovation at the Bernabeu a few years ago, but he surely is a quality player. He, in my opinion, will decide the game for Milan If we help them do so.

As for Inzaghi, we all know him. Great positioning skills and he knows how to stay motivated and motivate his teammates as well. He will surely cause us problems.

The rest of their players are quality ones too. Here is their squad list:

Dida, Donnarumma, Roma, Antonini, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Nesta, Pasini, Oddo, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Abate, Ambrosini, Flamini, Pirlo, Seedorf, Borriello, Huntelaar, Inzaghi, Pato, Ronaldinho and Verdi.

Juventus vs Maccabi Haifa Live Streaming Online, Sopcast, UEFA Champions League. Maccabi are definitely the weakest team in group A, Juventus have gone a month without winning in Serie A.

Juventus vs Maccabi Haifa Preview 21/10/2009 Champions League - Group A
This is a match Juventus simply must win, as no one in the biggest Italian squad even dreamed of this kind a situation after four starting wins. The combination of poor form and injuries caused a negative run. Juve have gone a month without winning in Serie A and drew the first two matches in the Champions League. The situation is not yet alarming but Juve will have to take the maximum number of points from the duels against Israeli side, so they could relax in the last two games in France and at their Olimpico against Bayern. Maccabi are definitely the weakest team in group A, but unlike the first game when they were completely outclassed by Bayern at home, they held on great in Bordeaux, missed great many chances and in the end were punished for that. They travel to Italy without pressure, as they have nothing to lose.

Ferrara announces changes

The team seems bad, undisciplined and the injuries can’t be the excuse for that. Sissoko and Cannavaro are back, Del Piero is missing but that is not the main problem. The new signings haven't yet fit in. Diego played two good games, then disappeared after the injury, while Melo is stubbornly dribbling on his half, so the team already paid for it against Bologna. On Saturday against Fiorentina, the main problem was the lack of energy in the midfield. They held on in the first 45 minutes after conceding a goal, but as soon as Sissoko was down, it all went stumbling down. Diego must be closer to the goal and Ferrara stated that he has instructed him so, but the player kept on going back, causing no threat to the opposing keepers. So, it seems that insisting on Amauri and Iaquinta up front is not the solution, as they are not quite efficient. Trezeguet should get a chance to start the game against the Israeli. Perhaps the manager changes the formation and the fans expect Seba Giovinco to start the game as well.

Maccabi can play football

They have materialization problems but judging by what we saw from them so far in the Champions League, they are not quite stranded here. They managed to eliminate Salzburg, the team that invested a lot in the squad. Maccabi have few experienced players, Israeli internationals in the squad, but the team is not fully fit which caused the dip in form in both matches against Bayern and Bordeaux. This might be a problem for them in Torino as well. But Maccabi can relax and give their best, as nothing is expected from them here, not even to take a point. Mere qualification for the group stage is a huge success for them. It is simply not realistic to expect them to surprise Juventus, but they won't give up without a fight. We think that they might hold on the pressure for the first 45 minutes, especially because Juventus have problems when Diego is not in the team and the strikers need ten chances to score one goal.

Girondins Bordeaux vs Bayern Munich Live Streaming Online, Sopcast, UEFA Champions League. Bayern Munich defender Daniel Van Buyten is expecting their Champions League clash with Bordeaux to be a fierce affair.

The teams meet in a Group A match at the Stade Chaban Delmas with both sides on four points from two games, but with Bayern currently top thanks to their superior goal difference.

Bordeaux are third in Ligue 1 after going down to defeat at Auxerre at the weekend while Bayern are sixth in the Bundesliga, six points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg.

Laurent Blanc's side will be looking to make the most of home advantage before they travel to Germany in a fortnight's time, with the knockout phase tantalisingly close for whoever emerges best from this double header.

Van Buyten insists his team will not underestimate their French opponents and told Bordeaux's official website, www.girondins.com: "We know it will be very difficult but we can claim something from it.

"We expect a real Champions League clash, with great intensity. My team-mates are ready."

The Belgium international played in Ligue 1 for Marseille before moving to Hamburg in 2004 and then on to Bayern two years later.

He is well aware of the steps Bordeaux have made in recent years, saying: "Bordeaux are a very complete team. Beware of Les Girondins.

"Franck (Ribery) and I have a lot of experience in Ligue 1 and we have warned our team-mates.

"We must be very careful at the Chaban Delmas. We take Les Girondins very seriously."

The only previous encounter between the teams saw Bayern triumph 5-1 on aggregate in the 1996 UEFA Cup final which came only a few years after they were relegated to the second division for financial reasons.

The last few years have seen Les Girondins become one of the most successful teams in France.

Current manager Blanc was appointed in June 2007 and in his first season led them to second place before going one better last term after winning the final 11 games of the season as well as clinching the Coupe de la Ligue.

Van Buyten acknowledges the effect Blanc has had, adding: "For me Bordeaux are a stable club.

"They did not finish champions by accident. With Laurent Blanc, they have found a very good coach.

"He has improved and strengthened, it is a solid team. Les Girondins have two or three individuals who can make the difference."

Louis van Gaal joined Bayern as coach in the summer and Van Buyten admits there have been teething problems as they look to at least match their second-placed Bundesliga finish from last season.

"We have had a lot of injuries, the coach has had to make many changes from one game to another," he said.

"Louis van Gaal came with the idea of installing a new system and new philosophy. He took time to integrate these changes and some players' injuries have delayed the introduction of these innovations."

Bayern will be without Arjen Robben for the match as his comeback from injury has been delayed.

CSKA Moscow vs. Manchester United

Wednesday 21 October 2009, Luzhniki Stadium

UEFA Champions League Football

Kick-Off: 17:30 UK (18:30 CET)

Manchester United

Life is good for Manchester United as they sit atop of the table in the Premier League and at the top of Group B in the Champions League ahead of this CSKA Moscow vs. Man Utd match on Wednesday night.

Man Utd have been steady in recent weeks and have won both of their Group B matches despite not overly impressing.

In the opening match against Besiktas, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men required a late goal from Paul Scholes to seal the victory, while in the second match, Man United had to come from behind to beat a feisty Wolfsburg 2-1.

Wayne Rooney, who has been in fantastic form, is doubtful for this Manchester United vs. CSKA Moscow fixture with an injury. But with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen available, Man U has more than enough striking power to cause problems to the CSKA defence.

CSKA Moscow

Juande Ramos has done a decent job for CSKA Moscow since taking over from Zico, though with five games remaining in the Russian Premier League, the army club will have to finish strongly if they are to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Focusing on Wednesday night’s clash with Manchester United, CSKA Moscow find themselves in a respectable position after two games played.

Their most recent victory over Besiktas was much needed in their attempt to stay in the hunt for advancement.

Gone are the days when Wagner Love’s blue braids led the way up front for CSKA Moskva, but with Tomas Necid and Alan Dzagoev in attack, CSKA still pose a real threat to opposing teams, even against the likes of Man U.

The cold weather in Russia usually makes playing conditions less than ideal for visiting clubs, and if the hosts are able to capture anything from Wednesday night’s CSKA vs Manchester United meeting, the Russians would need to be in good shape at the halfway point.

Tuesday October 20, 2009 Kick off: 19:45 Group Phase Camp Nou
Countdown: Today - 19:45

This Group F game catches our eye as it could well provide the fixture in which Barcelona have the opportunity to display their undoubted quality & class.

Barcelona are favourites to win Group F & currently sit top on 4 points after a comfortable 2-0 home win against Dynamo Kiev & then a hard fought 0-0 draw away against Inter Milan.

Rubin Kazan started their campaign with a 3-1 defeat against Dynamo Kiev but then showed a fair degree of ability & determination to hold Inter Milan 1-1 at home so at leas that point would have given them some confidence & belief.

We expect Barcelona to go all out to win this game with their immense attacking quality & Barcelona do look an absolutely rock solid bet to win with goals looking certain & probably in some style.

Liverpool vs Lyon Preview Champions League 20/10/2009 - Group E
After three successive defeats, Rafael BenĂtez has called on Liverpool FC to lift the gloom at Anfield by beating Olympique Lyonnais in UEFA Champions League Group E. Liverpool trail their French opponents by three points after losing to ACF Fiorentina on Matchday 2 and though Fernado Torres is still injured, with Steven Gerrard back in the side BenĂtez is hoping they can put Saturday's reverse at Sunderland AFC behind them. Lyon, who have won both their games so far, also come into the match on the back of a domestic loss and coach Claude Puel believes "it's a good chance for both teams to bounce back".

You can guarantee that if we win against Lyon the mood will change. When you are not winning, to play another game quickly and have the opportunity to change things is the best thing. I have a lot of confidence because we are a good team. We have some problems with injuries but the squad is good enough to win some games. A positive result would be massive for our confidence. The Champions League is a different competition and the players know the fans will be behind them, so it can be a big boost for us. [Steven Gerrard] has been training, so I think he'll be available. We've been having problems with injuries all season so having Gerrard fit is big for us. [Fernando Torres] is still not ready. Lyon are a good team with good players and experience in the Champions League so we know it's going to be a tough game.

England's European Championship final defeat in Sweden over the summer marked the end of a two-year cycle for head coach Pearce, with just four players starting at the Ricoh from the side that lost 4-0 to Germany. Both sides made a solid start to the encounter with Ibraimi the first to test goalkeeper Scott Loach with a stinging free-kick that the Watford man safely parried away for a corner.England started to grab a foothold on the game somewhat as the first quarter wore on but Macedonia were more than willing to commit men forward themselves.

The midfield quartet of Jack Wilshere, Danny Rose, Jack Rodwell and Tom Cleverley looked more than at ease as they worked the ball around - and the latter two combined for England's opener after 22 minutes.Cleverley did extremely well to keep Rodwell's crossfield pass in play as he hugged the touchline, before playing a through-ball for Walcott."We will play the same as in the other matches and I will choose my best 11. "Getting 10 wins out of 10 is not important, it's just important to win.

"I want to see the team play with the same spirit and style and to play to win. Sometimes you find another team that is stronger than you and you can lose. We always play to win."England thrashed Croatia twice in the group, but found Ukraine a much tougher nut to crack at Wembley this year, needing a late goal from John Terry to seal victory.

"I would warn against too much optimism. We played a good game but it was only a friendly and we are now looking towards the qualifiers," said midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski.Following a lacklustre first period, the match sparked into life after half-time.

Obraniak deflected in a shot by Marcin Wasilewski in the 47th minute before sealing victory with his second goal of the game in the 79th.Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon misses out through injury, meaning Galatasaray's Morgan De Sanctis should start with Siena youngster Gianluca Curci on the bench.

Antonio Di Natale, Andrea Pirlo, Alberto Aquilani and Gianluca Zambrotta are also out.Udinese playmaker Gaetano D'Agostino, 26, could win his first cap.The former Roma and Bari man is the only new face for Italy, although Grosso, Nicola Legrottaglie, Mauro Camoranesi and Vincenzo Iaquinta all return from injury.

Ancelotti, noting the mood of determination at the club, has made few changes since his arrival from AC Milan and has been rewarded with a five-match winning streak in the Premier League.
The latest of those - a come from behind 2-1 victory at Stoke on Saturday - underlined Chelsea's renewed will to win.Ancelotti, a Champions League winner with Milan in 2003 and 2007, said: "We played well and with big hearts (at Stoke). It is always important to believe you can go on and get the victory.

"I do not think were are lucky - we play until the last minute. We want to continue like this as our fans are very happy."But while Portugal will miss the presence of the talismanic winger in Wednesday night's friendly, Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore insisted that English football will be unaffected by the star's £80 million transfer away from Manchester United."I remain entirely phlegmatic because I know the game will sustain any one player moving either way," he said."It's always exciting when a new one arrives, but players leave. As long as we've got some stars - and we've got lots - the individual one itself doesn't matter

Group One leaders Denmark will qualify for next year's World Cup finals in South Africa if they beat second-placed Sweden, who are three points behind on 15, in Copenhagen on Saturday. The Sweden striker, who scored Barca's opening goal on Tuesday and created one for defender Gerard Pique with a clever backheel, went over on his right ankle in the second half and played on for several minutes before being replaced by Pedro. The Danes face Sweden on Saturday in Copenhagen and three points in the Scandinavian derby will send Denmark to the finals in South Africa next year.

"This year we have already signed agreements worth 10.7 billion zlotys (£2.5bn). In the 2008-2012 period, the road investments will reach almost 126 billion (£30bn) and next year alone we want to near 30 billion zlotys," Grabarczyk said.Poland has only three major highways totalling less than 1,000 km (620 miles). As the country of 38 million celebrates 20 years of democratic rule this year, many say its poor roads are a key failing.Since the centre-right government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk took over in late 2007, it has made boosting the antiquated roads one of its priorities.

"Until the end of the year we have one more highway tender to open. The east-west link, as well as most of the north-south road connection, will be ready for Euro 2012, which we co-host with Ukraine," Grabraczyk also said.Grabarczyk signed deals for construction of more than 1,000 kilometres of roads - nearly half of it highways - over almost two years in office, but a lot of the agreements came recently.Poland has introduced legal changes, some of which were aimed at increasing competition among firms participating in tenders, and Grabarczyk said this led to a drop in prices.

The scoreline sounds like a walloping but I don't think it was, said Powell. "We started very brightly and we still believed we were in it at 3-2."He added: "We still went out to win the game, even though we were 6-2 down. We still wanted to attack and we have to applaud that. "I truly believe they feel they were in a game. "We're happy with what we have achieved in reaching the final but not satisfied. "I think this will make the girls hungrier next time and one day it will be our day."

Inka Grings, who finished as the tournament's top goalscorer with six, and veteran Birgit Prinz, to take her record international tally to 125, both struck twice for the holders."These are difficult ties, especially the trips to Russia and Turkey," said Ferguson. "CSKA have developed strongly in the last few years and games in Turkey are always difficult."He added: "We also know the quality that we're up against with Wolfsburg, with what they achieved in the Bundesliga last season."The British clubs all avoided the European heavyweights of Barcelona, Real Madrid and the Milan sides.

Hughes spent £12million to lure the England midfielder north from Aston Villa right at the start of this summer's transfer window. Having admired Barry for so long, Hughes always felt the 28-year-old was a player worth having. But the chance to work at close quarters has left the Welshman admitting he had underestimated Barry's ability.Hughes knows, after 12 years, Barry's mental state is bound to be affected. But from personal experience, he expects a better performance from the midfielder.

"We have gained an exceptional player and one who has exceeded my opinion of him," said Hughes. "You can admire people from afar but until you actually work with them you do not know how good they are. Now I know we bought a better player than I thought."After receiving so much criticism from Villa fans when he decided to quit the club, Barry is preparing himself for more abuse from supporters who only 12 months ago were hailing his decision to remain in the midlands with such a positive attitude following the collapse of a hoped-for move to Liverpool.

Benitez's verbal battles with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho were a major feature of domestic and European battles between the teams in previous years.

"I am looking forward to seeing him again, it will be an interesting meeting and I have great respect for him," said Benitez, who went head to head with Ancelotti in two Champions League finals for Liverpool when his rival was AC Milan coach.

"We have competed together at two Champions League finals and now for the first time in the league. He is a great manager, and hopefully we will meet again in another European final at the end of the season.

"He knows how to manage a top side, he had great experience at AC Milan and he is already doing a good job at Chelsea.

"He has not changed too much here, maybe the shape of the team a little but the style of football is similar and the people there are happy because he is winning games."

He added: "I have a lot of respect for Ancelotti, he is a nice man and wants to win. But we do respect each other.

"He has experience of working with top-class players, that is important. In Istanbul against us (in 2005) he was winning and we came back, but he was always working to change that situation.

Arsene Wenger feels Barclays Premier League title glory for his young Gunners this season would be just reward for all his "patient work".

The Frenchman, who turns 60 later this month, is now the longest-serving manager in Arsenal's history, taking the club to another level since arriving at Highbury some 13 seasons ago. However, Wenger knows despite all the success in the past - which included an unbeaten campaign on the way to the 2003/2004 title - another barren return come May next year would be a major disappointment.

"I think it [winning the title] would be the consequence of more patient work, and of a long build-up," said the Arsenal manager.

"I believe as well you can say this team is like some former teams, that it is really red and white.

"A lot of these players arrived at 16 and are now in the first team, and it is something fantastic to achieve that."

Wenger added: "We have not won the Premier League (since 2004). To achieve it now would be like winning it for the first time again."

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis admits "second-season syndrome" is presenting an extra challenge to him and his players.

Pulis' side surprised almost everyone last season when they made a mockery of their status as relegation favourites.

But the respect Stoke earnt by finishing 12th has had its repercussions, with opponents better prepared for them this time around.

Pulis said: "Chelsea and Manchester United both fielded very strong teams against us and I'm sure other top sides will do the same.

"There is a different attitude to us this season and our opponents are giving us the respect we deserve. They are better prepared.

"That was bound to happen in our second season in the Premiership and what we have to do is lift ourselves and rise to the challenge. Second-season syndrome was always going to have an effect and I knew that before a ball had been kicked."

Johnson was also involved in a penalty claim right on the stroke of half time when he thought he was brought down in the box by a combination of Costanzo and david Angel Abraham, but the referee showed little interest in the Fulham striker's appeals.

In between times it was Basel that the two opportunities of the half and they also feel to one player.

Benjamin Huggel has one goal for Basel this season, but he could have trebled his tally had he not been so profligate with the chances presented to him at Craven Cottage.

The first was all his own work and after a neat turn Huggel fired in a shot that flew narrowly over the bar, but his next effort some three minutes later will haunt him for a while to come.

The ball fell to Huggel, who was totally unmarked, eight yards out with just Mark Schwarzer to beat, but instead of opening the scoring he blazed over the bar with the goal at his mercy.

Both sides had their chances to take the lead, but it was Fulham who provided the vital composure and when Murphy calmly slotted home a Johnson cross from the edge of the penalty box the hosts were in control.

They certainly rode their luck though and the visitors were guilty of missing superb chances, perhaps the worst of these being Streller's 83rd minute effort that flew over from a great position.

Torres scored five goals during the month - a double in a 3-2 win at West Ham and a hat-trick in the 6-1 thrashing of Hull last week.

The Spaniard is currently the league's top goalscorer with eight this season and has scored 46 in 65 appearances in the competition since joining Liverpool in 2007.

Ferguson's award caps a perfect month after steering United back to the top of the table.

The champions came from behind to beat Tottenham, won a thrilling derby against Manchester City and saw off Stoke.

It is the 24th time he has been named manager of the month.Sir Alex Ferguson remains in the dark over how the birth of Wayne Rooney's first child will affect Manchester United at the end of the month.

Rooney's wife Coleen is due to give birth to their first child on October 24, just three days after United's Champions League's encounter with CSKA Moscow in Russia, and only 24 hours before they take on Liverpool at Anfield.

"I have no idea about Wayne and the baby," said Ferguson. "I don't know anything about it. He has not spoken to me."

Rooney has revealed he is giving serious consideration to missing the Moscow trip completely to make sure he doesn't miss the arrival.

Bookmakers had slashed the odds on Redknapp leaving Tottenham from 50-1 to evens after heavy betting that he would go back to Portsmouth for the third time in his career to rescue the team who are bottom of the Premier League.

Portsmouth have lost seven successive league matches and were unable to pay their players this week while owner Sulaiman Al Fahim, currently in hospital following an operation, makes an attempt to refinance the club.

But, speaking ahead of Tottenham's Premier League match at Bolton, Redknapp gave no indication that he was heading for a shock exit.

"I'm definitely not leaving. It's absolute nonsense. Absolute rubbish," he said.

"I couldn't be happier than I am here. I love it here and I have no intention of leaving. It couldn't have gone better for me.

"I left Portsmouth more than a year ago. Hopefully, Portsmouth will get sorted out. I don't know where people dream these stories up from.Internet sites were awash with speculation on Friday, with some suggesting Redknapp could be on his way back to Portsmouth for a third time in a bid to rescue the club which has gone seven matches without recording a point this season and which this week was unable to pay some of its players.

The Portsmouth situation was compounded when new Arab owner Sulaiman Al Fahim, who has promised a £50million cash injection into the club, was taken to hospital with kidney stones.

Redknapp, whose Spurs side have won five of their first seven league matches this season, said: "I left Portsmouth more than a year ago. Hopefully, Portsmouth will get sorted out. I don't know where people dream these stories up from.

Wigan won both meetings with Hull City last season including a 5-0 success at the KC Stadium.

It is 21 Premier League games since Hull scored more than one goal in a Premier League match.

Only Derby in 2007-08 had conceded more goals than the Tigers have this season after seven games of the campaign.

Hull have won just one of their last 14 home games in the Premier League.

Five of Hull's six Premier League goals have come in the first half and the latest was netted in the 61st minute.

Wigan have conceded more goals after seven games played than in any of their previous four Premier League campaigns and their goals scored tally is a joint-low, but they have more points than in three of the other seasons after seven games.

The Tigers have committed the most fouls (111) and picked up the most yellow cards (16) in the top flight.

In all but one of Wigan's last 13 games, if Hugo Rodallega hasn't been on the scoresheet, the Latics have failed to score.

Hull have conceded 65 corners this season more than any other side in the Premier League.

Birmingham are unbeaten in their last five league trips to Turf Moor, winning two and drawing three.

There have only been seven goals in the last six league meetings between Burnley and Birmingham at Turf Moor.

The last four league matches at Turf Moor have produced five penalties the Clarets have scored all three of theirs and kept out their opponents' two.

All six of Birmingham's goals in all competitions have been scored from the 75th minute onwards.

Burnley have won nine matches on the trot in the league at home (including play-off games).

The Clarets have kept seven clean sheets in their last nine league matches at Turf Moor.

Birmingham players have been fouled more often than any other team in the top flight 109.

Birmingham's Premier League games this season have averaged 1.4 goals per game in the rest of the league the average has been 3.3 per game.

The Pompey chief executive appears to have little or no idea whether the situation is likely to improve, saying of the club's failure to pay wages: "I would imagine it is a blip." And ED would imagine the players would want greater assurances than that.

Storrie added: "Whatever we spend on a monthly basis comes channelled through from the new owner.

"He has promised to re-finance, and he has shown me all the documentation, but I have no idea about the conditions of the £50 million he says will be arriving in a few weeks."

The Al-Fahim takeover will probably be the final nail in the coffin of the Premier League's much-derided Fit and Proper Person test, and rightly so.

How can a club owner be deemed fit and proper when his own chief executive is in the dark about where the money is coming from?

Al-Fahim might well be completely legit, but if the people working closest to him don't know, then clearly the Premier League has failed to do a proper vetting job.

On current form, if Pompey do slip into administration, the consequent 10-point penalty could see them become the first team to finish a Premier League season in with a negative points total.

Arsenal hosts Greek champion Olympiacos on Tuesday (29 September 2009) in a Group H match of Champions League 2009-10. Both teams had a winning start to the Champions league campaign this season. Arsenal pulled off an excellent 3-2 come-from-back victory over Standard Liege, while Olympiacos defeated Dutch side AZ 1-0 in their Champions league openers. So, the winner of the game will move to the no. 1 position in point table. With Arsenal playing at home, it seems that the Gunners will have some advantage, but you can not rule out the chances of Olympiacos, given their recent form.

Match: Arsenal vs Olympiacos, Group H, UEFA Champions League 2009-10

Date: 29 September 2009

Venue: Emirates Stadium, London, England

Kick off: 18:45 GMT (Local Time 19:45)

Following two successive defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Manchester City, Arsenal has won four games on a row including the inspirational 4-0 thrashing of Wigan Athletic. Arsenal might have struggled against Fulham to pick up three points, but there are some positives in their 1-0 away win. First of all, 21-year-old Italian goalkeeper Vito Mannone showed that he has come of age at last and is now ready to play at this level regularly. Moreover, striker Robin van Persir, who scored the winner, has proved that he is now capable of capitalizing the chances more than ever.

Arsenal is currently at the no. 5 position in the premier league standing with 12 points from 6 games, though they are level with 6th placed Manchester City in terms of points. To be honest, Arsenal’s league standing does not reflect their impressing on-field performance. It is true that Arsenal lost both the games at Manchester, but if you look at the two games, you can see that their performance was not bad. Rather, for some time, Arsenal looked in dominating form. For example, against United, they conceded two goals through penalty and an own goal. Against City, they played toe-to-toe most of the time, despite conceding two late goals.

Olympiacos has been in high-flying form so far this season. Since the arrival of new coach Brazilian Zico, the Greek champions have won all of their four games. Zico replaced Temuri Ketsbaia as the new manager of Olympiacos just before their Champions league opener against AZ.

Ahead of the trip to London, Zico is now worried about the tiredness of the players as his boys played 4 games in the last 10 days. However, he is confident that his side will do well in London and expects his players to show the winning mentality in the game.

Drogba was carried off during last weekend's win over Tottenham but Ancelotti was relieved to discover the Ivory Coast striker was only suffering from cramp rather than the more serious calf problem feared at the time.

Chelsea travel north with a three-point lead over champions Manchester United -- who travel to Stoke -- and a six-point cushion over a chasing pack made up of Liverpool, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's team selection at Stoke will be the subject of much attention with Michael Owen, after his last-gasp winner against Manchester City at the weekend and a lively display in the League Cup win over Wolves in midweek, pushing for a starting slot alongside Wayne Rooney.

Ben Foster's status as first-choice back-up for the currently-injured Edwin van der Sar could also be under threat following a midweek display from Tomasz Kuszczak that contrasted with Foster's nervy performance in the derby.

Regardless of their line-up, Rory Delap believes Stoke are capable of upsetting United at the Britannia Stadium, although he expects the champions to overhaul Chelsea over the course of the season.Cole has been sidelined with a cruciate knee problem for eight months but came back and set up Salomon Kalou's winner just after the interval.

Tomasz Kuszczak had been tipped to step in for his first Premier League start of the season after he kept a clean sheet in the Carling Cup win over Wolves. However, Ferguson has been quick to give Foster a public vote of confidence, insisting he will play at the Britannia Stadium. It was a good opportunity for Tomasz to play on Wednesday but Ben will play [at Stoke]," said the United boss. "Ben has not had a lot of game experience but he will be OK.Ferguson is more concerned Van der Sar is available again this season after he suffered two broken fingers in a pre-season game against Bayern Munich in July.

Meanwhile, Ferguson confirmed he expects first-choice goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to be out for another three weeks. For three seasons now, the 38-year-old has waited until the depths of winter to determine his fate, which the answer coming up positive each time. It has always been the case with Edwin that he has made the decision around the end of December and it will be this same this season too," said boss Sir Alex Ferguson. There is going to be a time when he decides it is time but he never does anything at this stage of the season. It was originally thought the former Fulham star would be out for two months, but Ferguson has confirmed he will be sidelined for another three weeks, meaning the first time he will be available is the encounter with Bolton on October 17.

Choose 'em: Unless he falls victim to Carlo Ancelotti's mild tinkering habit, Michael Ballack (9.86) looks a great shout for Chelsea. The German costs half as much as Frank Lampard (19.22) but has only slightly fewer points - 53.5 to 67.5 - from the same number of games. Yossi Benayoun (12.24) might have tricked The Fantasist once, but he's not going to do it again. Sign him quick, before he bangs in another hat-trick. No apology for banging on about Liverpool players - they're playing Hull for pity's sake - wouldn't you say Steven Gerrard (20.51) looks tempting? A couple of so-so performances have made Aaron Lennon (11.50) affordable, and you have to think he'll flippin' murder Burnley. And how about loveable El-Hadji Diouf (7.27) against Aston Villa?

Lose 'em: The Fantasist has flip-flopped on Benayoun, but it remains resolutely anti-Ryan Giggs (14.65). Only in Fantasy terms, you understand. When Tim Cahill (9.97) isn't leaping like a salmon, it seems he isn't doing very much at all. He averages just 4.4 points per game and should be left alone, even against Portsmouth (gulp). Look up the word 'obdurate' in the dictionary and you'll see the big ugly mugs of the Birmingham back four staring back at you. Which makes the normally magnificent Matthew Taylor (16.24) a risk - although he should get some free-kicks. It was good to see Joe Cole (8.94) and Yuri Zhirkov (5.65) in Carling Cup action, but it would be a surprise if either makes much of an impact on Saturday.
