The match against Siena was Ciro Ferrara’s first in charge of the Old Lady, and the visitors won 3-0 thanks to a brace from Alessandro Del Piero, which included a fabulous free kick. Claudio Marchisio was the scorer of the other goal for Juventus.

With the win, Juventus sealed an automatic Champions League spot. Fiorentina, who are in fourth, cannot overtake Juve because the Bianconeri have a better head to head record. Juventus also announced the signing of playmaker Diego from Werder Bremen as they aim to reclaim the Scudetto next season.

Lazio drew 1-1 with Juventus when the two teams met in January in the league. Most recently, Delio Rossi’s team beat the Bianconeri 4-2 on aggregate in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia. What will be the outcome of this match? Watch Juventus v Lazio live to find out

Inter suffered only their fourth defeat in the Serie A this season as they lost 2-1 to Cagliari last weekend. Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Inter the lead in the 8th minute, only for Andrea Cossu to equalise in the 34th minute. Roberto Acquafresca then scored the winner against his parent club, heading home from Davide Biondini’s cross twenty minutes from time.

Inter boss Jose Mourinho has put pen to paper a new deal that will see him stay at the San Siro till June 2012. Although the league has already been won, the Special One would like his players to end their season on a winning note. This clash could well be Julio Cruz’s last in a Nerazzurri shirt, and the Argentine hitman will be hoping for a goal or two against Atalanta.

After last week’s defeat against Cagliari, Inter will look to end the season on a winning note when they host Atalanta on Sunday. Jose Mourinho will hope to celebrate his contract extension with a win when his Inter side take on Atalanta in their final league game of the season.

Fiorentina are assured of a top four finish in the league after their draw against Lecce last week. The Viola are three points behind Milan, and a win by a two goal margin could see Milan having to play the qualifying rounds of the Champions League. Juventus and Inter have picked up two of the three automatic spots, and Fiorentina could leapfrog Milan if they win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.

Paolo Maldini’s last appearance for AC Milan at the San Siro ended in a loss as Roma beat the Rossoneri 3-2. It was Milan’s second consecutive loss in the league, coming on the back of a 2-1 loss in Udine the week before.

It was a long road getting here, from the very first round on September 13th. Chelsea beat Bolton 4-3 in their last league match, the Blue’s second straight win and sixth win in seven matches. Everton drew 3-3 with Aston Villa in their last league match. In their last five matches, Everton have won two, drawn two and lost one, picking up eight points from the fifteen on offer.

The Blues(Chelsea) start the game as favorites but will have to avoid any complacency with Everton proving to be more than a match this season, holding Chelsea to 0-0 draws in both the league games. Having missed out on a place in the Champions League final by mere seconds, Chelsea will hope that the FA Cup will ease some of those bad memories.

In the Semi-Finals Arsenal was matched up with Chelsea and Chelsea dominated 2-1 with over 88,000 fans watching. Manchester United faced Everton and eventually Everton ended up on Top. Inter Milan meet Cagliari this weekend in a match that is of little significance to both teams. We could however still get to see some good attacking football.

Cagliari are comfortably sitting in mid table, with 54 points taken from 36 games. The Rossoblu last won in the league in April, and one gets the impression they have taken things a bit lightly once their position in the top flight was confirmed. Cagliari have conceded 12 goals in their last four games- a statistic that will have Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co. rubbing their hands in anticipation.

Cagliari were beaten 2-1 by relegation threatened Reggina last week. Andrea Lazzari gave Cagliari the lead, but Reggina equalised through Fabio Ceravalo seven minutes later. Franco Brienza fired home what was to be the winner three minutes into the second half.

Inter’s youngsters could get a look in when the Nerazzurri meet Cagliari this weekend in Sardinia. Roberto Acquafresca will be keen to score against his parent club again when Cagliari meet Inter Milan in the Serie A on Sunday evening

Dundee currently hold the final Europa league spot, but they could still lose it to Aberdeen if they lose to Rangers and Aberdeen beat Hibs. United currently have 53 points from 37 games, and would have secured their spot in Europe last week with a favourable result against Hearts. Unfortunately, Craig Levein’s men lost 3-0.

Early strikes from Lee Wallace and Bruno Aguiar put Hearts 2-0 ahead, and Eggert Jonsson added a third from the spot in the second half to condemn Dundee United to their 10th loss of the season. Warren Feeney is still unavailable, but Francisco Sandaza is expected to recover from his hamstring problem.

Rangers currently lead Celtic by two points at the top of the table, but the trip to Tannadice is one they’d rather not make, given their away form against United in recent years. Walter Smith’s men have not won at Tannadice in nearly three years now, and with United also looking for a spot in Europe, Rangers will have their work cut out.

Rangers beat Aberdeen 2-1 last week in a game that marked Barry Ferguson’s first start since Boozegate. An own goal from Richard Foster and a Kyle Lafferty header was enough for Rangers to win. Gers also had Majid Bougherra sent off, but the SFA has rescinded the card, and the Algerian is free to play against Dundee United.

Celtic takes on Hearts this Sunday 24 may 2009.Victory against the hearts is Mandatory if they are to retain the Scottish Premier League title this Sunday. Rangers lead Celtic by two points going into the final round of fixtures, but a loss or draw for the Gers at Tannadice, coupled with a win for Celtic.

This could also be Shunsuke Nakamura’s last league game for Celtic. The Japanese playmaker is expected to return to his native country in the summer, despite Celtic’s efforts to make him stay for another season. PFA player of the year Scott Brown, who was substituted in the closing stages of the game with an ankle injury, is expected to be fit for the clash against Hearts.

It has been nothing short of a great season for Hearts. Csaba Laszlo’s men have already booked a spot in next season’s Europa League, and could decide the course of the SPL title on Sunday. Hearts beat Dundee United 3-0 in their last game, with goals from Lee Wallace, Bruno Aguiar and Eggert Jonsson.

Real Madrid have now suffered three defeats in a row, and it appears as if it really was a case of throwing in the towel. With Barcelona now crowned champions, Real really have nothing to play for accept maybe a little bit of pride. This weekend the face Mallorca at the Bernabeau in their last home game of the season.

Real Madrid cannot be caught in second place, their end to the season has been a disappointment for all involved with the club. Once the home defeat to Barcelona had sunk in, everybody realised the title challenge was over, but to suffer another two defeats after that as well was something nobody expected. Although some fringe players and youngsters were given a chance to shine, it is no excuse for a team of Real’s stature, and the fans will be sure to demand some answers at the end of the season.

For their part, Mallorca come into the game fresh from a morale boosting victory over champions Barcelona. They are currently in a respectable mid-table position of ninth and have 48 points so far to their name.

AC Milan take on Roma in what could be Carlo Ancelotti’s last home game in charge of the Rossoneri.

David Beckham is once again available for selection after being suspended for the last game. So is defender Giuseppe Favalli. Veteran defender Paolo Maldini will play his last game in front of the San Siro faithful- he is due to retire at the end of this season.

AS Roma have been terribly inconsistent this season, and although they do hold the last Europa League spot, a loss to Milan combined with wins for either Palermo or Udinese could see them move out of the European places this weekend. The Giallorossi have conceded a whopping 36 goals on the road- more than any team in the Serie A this season

Wigan Athletic is going to face Portsmouth in the last matchups of this season.

Last year it only took one man to defeat Wigan Athletic, Jermaine Defoe scored both goals that took Portsmouth to fifth place victory. During the game Sylvain Distin bumped Antonio Valencia and Wigan was awarded a penalty, but it didn't do much to help as Defoe and Utaka worked together to get the ball down the field

Middlesbrough is on the relegated consideration list and as such will be playing hardball this match. They'll be relegated if they lose to West Ham, and Hull loses as well as Newcastle drawing or losing as well. If you are a fan, then what you need to know is this.

Last time that Middlesbrough and West Ham met it ended with Middlesbrough winning 2-0. Stewart Downing had a great goal that he kicked through the keeper while Tuncay Sanli had his own shot at the net, and ended up putting it through. It was rough going for West Ham, being 5-0 at that time in the season, working on their defense for the next match. Meanwhile, Middlesbrough broke their own losing streak of five with this win.

The first time Sunderland and Chelsea met up it was earlier in the season and Sunderland sadly was anhiliated by Chelsea. Nicolas Anelka certainly deserved the MVP first grabbing an easy shot past the keeper, and then again when Frank Lampard set up a cross that Anelka targeted to the goal. Alex had another goal, and Lampard got his own goal on Joe Cole's cross. Nicolas Anelka got his third goal as Malouda set up the shot and allowed him access, absolutely slaughtering Sunderland 5-0.

Has Sunderland take the opportunity to improve this season or will we see another butchering by Chelsea this Sunday. Sunderland will certainly play their hardest, as they are on the short list for relegation, but can Chelsea keep up the energy to turn the match their way? You'll find out when you join today and watch the high definition live streams of football action on Sunday, May 24th. Sunderland and Chelsea fight on the field this Sunday, as Sunderland tries to keep themselves from moving to a lower league for next year. All of the Premier League events are held this Sunday, May 24th

Last year, the first half was mostly unexciting, with Stephen Ireland and Ched Evens getting a couple of close shots, making Jussi Jaaskelainen work for the blocks, and then the second half started and Bolton seemed to come alive, when Gretar Steinsson laid out a cross for Ricardo Gardner to torpedo into the goal. Then the Wanderers again turned to teamwork and is was Gardner this time that set up the shot for Richard Dunne to put home.

This was a particularly proud moment for Bolton, as it was their first home win, and now they face each other again, with the result anyone's guess. You can watch this match, as well as any of the other Premier League clubs on the field this Sunday, May 24th, by signing up now. Tottenham is going to face Liverpool in the final matchup between them in this season on 24 May 2009

Tottenham certainly isn't going to lay down and take it, surprising everyone to be the first team of the season to beat Liverpool in the game earlier this season. It was Roman Pavlyuchenko that scored that late winner for the 2-1 win. Liverpool scored the first shot, with Dirk Kuyt banging on in within the first three minutes. Then Jamie Carragher slapped a shot into the net, while Pavlyuchenko got the second.

Fulham : 53 Points

Last time these two teams went against each other on the field, Louis Saha added salt to Fullham's wounds by scoring a late goal against his former club. The entire match lasted for 87 grueling minutes, with Marouane Fellaini hitting a post in the first half, and Zoltan Gera attempting to score for Fullham, but banging a close range shot off the top bar. Everton had the worst Premier League record as the season started, and were glad to take home their first win, the final score ending in their favor 1-0.

This match is scheduled on this Sunday 24 May 2009

Arsenal : 69 points

Last time Arsenal and Stoke City battled it was at the beginning of the season with Stoke beating Arsenal 2-1. Rory Delap completed two long throw ins, allowing both Ricardo Fuller and Sayi Olofinjana to score. Fuller's shot was after a throw from Delap to the far post while Olofinjana dived for a goal that was cleared from the line by Gael Clichy, which was alos thrown in from Delap.

neither of these teams have anything left to play for in the Premiership, well not so true Blackburn could still get some more money by climbing up the table a bit more but Chelsea are stuck in 3rd no matter what happens. Blackburn fans will be happy to know their safety is secured for next season, although it never really looked like they would be relegated since big Sam to the helm.

So what’s left for these two teams? Chelsea still have the Fa cup final to look forward to and Guus Hiddink will want to keep his side sharp and in good form for the final two games. Blackburn though can start planning for next season, whether that is bringing in new faces or selling old ones, who knows? I guess we will find out soon.

West Brom might just fancy their chances in this game, if they somehow manage to win this game then they will definitely be a contender to get out of the relegation zone.

Liverpool have had a great season, but at times they have thrown away valuable points by drawing to many games. It’s a season of what if’s for Liverpool fans, but I am sure they are looking forward to next season. West Brom don’t have that luxury

Both of these sides were denied a spot in the Champions League final midweek. Chelsea were KO’d by a last gasp effort from Barcelona’s Iniesta who managed to score in extra time, with Barcelona only having 1 shot on target during the whole match.

Arsenal though never had as much luck, they were systematically destroyed by a Man Utd side that would have beaten anyone on it’s day. The only thing left to play for in this game for either side is pride

Man Utd have the fortunate position of having their destiny in their own hands. They only need 7 more points from 4 games and they have won the league. However Manchester United have a pretty rough fixture list against them, and they still have to meet both Man City and Arsenal.

Both of these sides should be at full strength, although Man City have a slight injury worry regarding Pablo Zableta but he should recover in time for the Manchester derby. Liverpool currently sit top of the league and Man Utd will know that they have to keep their current form and keep winning, if they do then the league is theirs.
