The FA Challenge Cup Final will take place on Saturday, May 30th. The two teams that will be facing off are Everton and Chelsea and will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, England. It was a long road getting here, from the very first round on September 13th. All the teams participated(761 teams) were competed over the past few months until the semi-final round in April, where Everton and Chelsea came out on top.
Chelsea beat Bolton 4-3 in their last league match, the Blue’s second straight win and sixth win in seven matches. Everton drew 3-3 with Aston Villa in their last league match. In their last five matches, Everton have won two, drawn two and lost one, picking up eight points from the fifteen on offer.
The Blues(Chelsea) start the game as favorites but will have to avoid any complacency with Everton proving to be more than a match this season, holding Chelsea to 0-0 draws in both the league games. Having missed out on a place in the Champions League final by mere seconds, Chelsea will hope that the FA Cup will ease some of those bad memories.
In the Semi-Finals Arsenal was matched up with Chelsea and Chelsea dominated 2-1 with over 88,000 fans watching. Manchester United faced Everton and eventually Everton ended up on Top. Thus Everton and Chelsea competing on the field for the final, and a grand prize of 2,000,000 pounds.
