Last year, the first half was mostly unexciting, with Stephen Ireland and Ched Evens getting a couple of close shots, making Jussi Jaaskelainen work for the blocks, and then the second half started and Bolton seemed to come alive, when Gretar Steinsson laid out a cross for Ricardo Gardner to torpedo into the goal. Then the Wanderers again turned to teamwork and is was Gardner this time that set up the shot for Richard Dunne to put home.
This was a particularly proud moment for Bolton, as it was their first home win, and now they face each other again, with the result anyone's guess.
