Wolves will look to use the home advantage and claim all three points in what is probably an early six-pointer of the season when they welcome Hull City this weekend. A match between two teams with just one win so far on the season will get underway this weekend as the Wolverhampton Wolves take on Hull City live right here on OleOleFootball. Both teams need to turn things around after some closely contested losses and will be looking to come out quick and jump all over their opponents on Saturday August 29th.

Wolves had a lot of chances in that game and manager Mick McCarthy was left to rue what might have been. However his team bounced back from that loss to beat Swindon Town 6-5 on penalties in the Carling Cup during the id week. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Chris Iwelumo, Michael Kightly and Kevin Foley continue to miss out with various injuries.

Tottenham will look to maintain what has been the best ever start to a premiership campaign in 49 years when they welcome Birmingham to White Hart Lane this weekend. The big news out of the EPL so far this year has to be the impressive play from Tottenham for every minute of football this year. They have dominated their opponents and will look to continue doing so this weekend as they take on Birmingham City in what should be an exciting live football game. Birmingham will be the underdog in the game but will be looking to prove that their slow start is not because of lack of talent or drive.

Redknapp has dealt admirably with a host of injury issues as Jonathan Woodgate, Michael Dawson, Jermaine Jenas, Gareth Bale and Heurelho Gomes are keeping the medical staff busy. He is also looking to add another couple of players and has expressed an interest in acquiring the services of Rafael Van Der Vart.

Meanwhile Birmingham were held to a 0-0 draw by Stoke City last week. The Blues had a great chance in the second half, but a heroic save from Potters goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen denied them all three points.

Stoke City and Sunderland will be continuing their 2009-10 EPL seasons as they square off against one another on Saturday August 29th. Sunderland will be hoping to continue their strong play this year while Stoke City will be looking for a little more consistency from their top players. The Potters have had a decent start to the season, winning one game and losing another. Last week they drew 0-0 against Birmingham thanks to Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen, who effected some superb saves in the latter half of the game.

Stoke City has been a picture of inconsistency so far this year and have to be disappointed in the fact that they could not finish off Birmingham City last weekend. In their 0-0 tie they did manage to get by with a point but the team has to feel they should have gotten three. They have now been shutout in two straight games and haven’t found the back of the net since their first game when Jordan and Ryan Shawcross scored.

Blackburn will still be searching for their first points of this campaign when they take on West Ham this Saturday. Even though it is early in the season, this weekend will prove to be quite important for both Blackburn and West Ham utd. West Ham will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Tottenham on the weekend although they should take comfort in the fact that they played well. On the other hand Blackburn has not been able to win a game so far as of yet and need one soon.

Blackburn are looking to bring in Pascal Chimbonda as it appears that Stephen Warnock is headed to Aston Villa.

Fulham has high expectations this season and started off with an impressive 1-0 over a strong Portsmouth team. Bobby Zamora provided all the offence that was needed for Fulham in the win after he scored in the 13th minute, and the defence looked poised and ready for the long season. If they can get the same shut down style of play going against Chelsea then they could possibly come away with another impressive victory and climb up to the top of the EPL table.

Meanwhile Chelsea have started impressively with two wins out of two games so far. A narrow 2-1 win over Hull on the opening day was followed by an authoritative 3--1 win over Sunderland. Darren Bent had given the Black Cats an early lead, but goals from Michael Ballack, Frank Lampard and Deco gave the Blues all three points.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti would have been delighted with his side's display and will hope for more of the same come Sunday. Chelsea have signed midfielder Nemanja Matic from MFK Kosice., but this game could be too early for him to play in. Yuri Zhirkov and Juliano Belletti continue to remain sidelined

Manchester United will be involved in a very important live English Premier League game this weekend as they take on Wigan Athletic on Saturday August 22nd. Man U has always been a favorite to compete for the league title but this year the team seems to be missing that something special that they usually have. They played uninspired football in their first game and then were upset by Burnley this past week. They will need to bounce back quick in order to compete with Wigan Athletic this weekend and prove that they are still one of the teams to beat in the EPL.

Wigan Athletic started off their 2009-10 EPL season on the right note with a convincing 2-0 win over Aston Villa. However, that did not carry over to the next game as they were outplayed and upset by a score of 0-1 against the Wolverhampton Wanderers. They will definitely need to be at their best this weekend and rely on top flight play from Hugo Rodallega and Jordi Gomez. It will be interesting to see if Roberto Martinez elects to use Jason Scotland in this game or leave him on the bench again.

Sunderland had high hopes entering their game against Chelsea but could not keep up with the squad that Carlo Ancelotti has put together. While Sunderland did strike first they could not hold off Chelsea for long and fell victim thanks to goals from Michael Ballack, Frank Lampard, and Deco. It was a struggle for Sunderland to keep up most of the game but they did show some promise. Darren Bent scored for the second time in two games to lead the team. They have a lot to learn from the game and should be able to use those lessons to help gain a victory over Blackburn on Saturday August 22nd.

Blackburn was dominated by Manchester City on Tuesday and will need to come out with a much better effort against Sunderland. Just three minutes in Emmanuel Adebayor drove home a pass from Shaun-Wright Phillips and Man City did not look back from there.

City had the second best home record in the Barclays Premier League last season behind neighbours United while Wolves had the most wins on the road in the Championship.

Wolverhampton jumped out quickly in their game against Wigan Athletic as they scored in just the 5th minute when Andy Keogh drove a header to the back of the net. Many were predicting that Wigan would manhandle the Wolves in their home game but it wasn’t meant to be for Roberto Martinez and his squad. Instead the Wolves pulled away with three points and look like they are up for competing this year.

On the other side of the pitch Manchester City lived up to their expectations and handled Blackburn with ease in their game. Even without some of their stars playing such as Carlos Tevez, City showed what they were able to do and have to be one of the favorites to compete at the top of the table this year. A big win over the Wolves would give them a jumpstart on the competition and prove that they are for real this 2009-10 English Premier League season.

Hull City has been unable to score goals or defend well so far this season and it isn’t looking good for Hull fans. After battling it out with Chelsea in a 1-2 loss, the team was then dominated by the Tottenham hotspurs by a score of 1-5. While the team did find the back of the net in both games thanks in large part to strong play from Stephen Hunt, they need to do more. They should be able to play with Bolton and compete much better than they did in the previous games and it will be interesting to see how well Phil Brown has prepared his team.

Bolton has only been a part of one live English Premier League game so far this year and there were a few positives that came from the game even though they lost. They were unable to score but their defence was tested quite a bit by Sunderland and especially Darren Bent, but they stood strong. Jussi Jaaskelainen played very well in net and the offense led by Muamba and Elmander should be improved in this game with a bit more practice.

Liverpool manager is hoping that new acquisitions Alberto Aquilani and Glen Johnson can fit into the scheme nicely and come out with a strong game against Tottenham. The live Liverpool game should give them a good idea of where they will stand this year and they could stamp their status as a top contender with a convincing win. Eyes will be on Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres as they try to bring the team to glory and have a big impact in the opening game.

Tottenham centre-back Sebastien Bassong is set to make his debut.

Bassong is expected to partner Ledley King as Jonathan Woodgate is recovering from groin surgery and Michael Dawson is ruled out with an Achilles injury.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez will monitor Steven Gerrard's fitness ahead of the Barclays Premier League match against Tottenham on Sunday.

Gerrard sat out England's draw against Holland in midweek after suffering a groin injury.

Manchester United will get their 2009-10 season underway on August 16th as they square off with Birmingham City. United will be trying to prove that they will be fine without Tevez and Ronaldo while Birmingham will try to prove that they are a contender by taking down the English giants. You can tune and see the outcome of this live English Premier Game and watch Manchester United vs. Birmingham live along with a number of other games.

Wes Brown is expected to start for Manchester United when the Barclays Premier League champions begin the defence of their title against Birmingham on Sunday.

Brown has recovered from a thigh injury he picked up in pre-season so, with Jonny Evans (ankle) likely to join Nemanja Vidic (calf) and Gary Neville (groin) on the sidelines, the England defender should play in central defence alongside Rio Ferdinand.

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish faces major selection problems ahead of his team's daunting return to the Barclays Premier League at Manchester United on Sunday.

Defenders Liam Ridgewell, Martin Taylor, Scott Dann, Giovanny Espinoza and David Murphy are all unavailable.

Chelsea will be taking on Hull City on August 15th as the English Premier League gets underway. Chelsea will be hoping for a quick start this year and should be the favorites heading into the game. Hull City will be looking to prove that they are ready to compete in the EPL and would get a lot of confidence through a victory. Low gave David Odonkor his first start since October in a midfield that also included captain Michael Ballack, who joined up with the squad on Monday.

Bayern Munich pair Klose and Lukas Podolski formed the attack with Mario Gomez left behind at a training camp in Mallorca, while Real Madrid's Christoph Metzelder gained match practice at centre-back and Thomas Hitzlsperger slotted in at left-back.

And it did not take long for Low's new-look team to settle as Klose opened the scoring early on.

The former World Player of the Year then put Corinthians ahead 12 minutes into the second half, going past two defenders before firing home an angled shot.

Ponte Preta were reduced to 10 men when defender Edilson was sent off but the visitors gained an unexpected point when defender Gum headed home an equaliser with 14 minutes left.

The draw moved Corinthians up to 34 points, six behind leaders Palmeiras and one ahead of Sao Paulo, who scored a 2-1 away win over Noroeste in Bauru.

Washington opened the scoring for Sao Paulo shortly after the break and Jorge Wagner extended their lead in the 64th minute 64th before Marcelinho headed a consolation for Noroeste.

Santos moved up to fifth place after sinking Santo Andre 3-0 with goals by Madson, Triguinho and young-star Neymar while Portuguesa remained fourth after a 2-2 draw with Mirasol.source:espnstar
