It was a long road getting here, from the very first round on September 13th. A new record was set this year when 762 Clubs were accepted for the events, but only 761 played as South Normanton Athletic dropped while the draws were being made, and two other teams dropped afterwards sending their opponents through on a bye. These teams competed over the past few months until the semi-final round in April, where Everton and Chelsea came out on top.

Alex had another goal, and Lampard got his own goal on Joe Cole's cross. Nicolas Anelka got his third goal as Malouda set up the shot and allowed him access, absolutely slaughtering Sunderland 5-0.
