Inter suffered only their fourth defeat in the Serie A this season as they lost 2-1 to Cagliari last weekend. Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Inter the lead in the 8th minute, only for Andrea Cossu to equalise in the 34th minute. Roberto Acquafresca then scored the winner against his parent club, heading home from Davide Biondini’s cross twenty minutes from time.

Inter boss Jose Mourinho has put pen to paper a new deal that will see him stay at the San Siro till June 2012. Although the league has already been won, the Special One would like his players to end their season on a winning note. This clash could well be Julio Cruz’s last in a Nerazzurri shirt, and the Argentine hitman will be hoping for a goal or two against Atalanta.

After last week’s defeat against Cagliari, Inter will look to end the season on a winning note when they host Atalanta on Sunday. Jose Mourinho will hope to celebrate his contract extension with a win when his Inter side take on Atalanta in their final league game of the season.
