Portsmouth will be hoping the successful takeover of the club will have a positive effect on results as they prepare to face Manchester City this Sunday.

Portsmouth has been unable to get anything going and have yet to put any points on the board. They scored their first goal last week against Arsenal after being shut out by Birmingham City and Fulham, but were still dominated by a score of 1-4. Paul Hart needs to get more out of his team soon or it will be a long, dreadful season for Pompey. They need more from players like Younes Kaboul and a better offensive effort overall.

Meanwhile Manchester City have begun on the right note following their massive summer spending. They have won both their games played so far by narrow margins, but look like genuine challengers for a top four finish
