West Ham Utd came up big in their first game of the 2009-10 EPL season with a 2-0 victory over the Wolverhampton Wanderers. The team got top notch play from Mark Noble and Matthew Upson and will need more of the same against Tottenham. Gianfranco Zola is hoping that his team can use the momentum to play a better game than they did in the Asia Trophy game. West Ham will need to prepare hard and hope that everything falls their way to overcome this test against Tottenham, but they may prove up to the task.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp returns to his old club with his side still basking in the glow of a 2-1 win at home to Liverpool and then a thumping 5-1 victory at Hull City.

Jermain Defoe also returns to Upton Park and is full of confidence after his midweek hat-trick brought his tally to five goals in three matches for club and country.

However the Hammers are also on a high after their opening day 2-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs have not conceded a goal in their last three meetings with West Ham and have not lost in their last three visits to the Boleyn Ground.
