The summer soccer season got even more appealing with the news that Real Madrid will be playing D.C. United on August 9th at FedEx Field in suburban Maryland. This is not the first time Real Madrid are playing DC United. The two sides met at Qwest Field in Real’s 2006 American tour. That game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Alecko Eskandarian scoring for DC and Antonio Cassano scoring for Real Madrid.
